With each new season, the staff of our St. Louis, Kansas City and Minneapolis showrooms have front row seats as representatives from a collective group of over 150 furniture, textile and window covering lines share their latest introductions. And as you can imagine, it’s easy to develop a personal wish list. This post is one in a series designed to expose you to a fresh perspective and gain a little insight in to the taste and style of the sales associates that assist you.
This month we’re beginning with two employees from our Kansas City Showroom. Kelly Specht has been the showroom manager for a little over a year now and brought with her 15 years of experience in the design industry. As you can see from her small collection of favorites below, Kelly’s taste is clean and sophisticated with a penchant for tufting. Thomas Pheasant’s collection for Baker has an architectural influence that she finds appealing, and after a recent visit from Gary Glant and his son Adam of Glant Textiles, her appreciation for the distinctive line has reached new heights.

Leann Baker’s love of a cool palette is evident in her selection of neutral textiles and wallcoverings from Zimmer + Rohde, Phillip Jeffries and Romo. Her furniture style recalls decades past with mid-century-inspired pieces from the popular Dwell Studio Collection by Precedent and drum tables by Thayer Coggin as well as an oversized antiqued mirror from Century. Sleek dining chairs from Barbara Barry round out her collection of refined furnishings.
